Archdiocese of Atlanta guidelines for relationships between charter-based scout units and parishes

Cub Scout Religious Emblems

  • Light of Christ. Designed for 6-7 years old Cub Scouts. This program is parent lead and helps a cub develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
  • Parvuli Dei. Designed for 8-10 years old Cub Scouts. This program is designed for the cub and his/her parent or guardian to work together to discover the presence of God in their daily lives.

Scouts BSA & Venturing Religious Emblems

  • Ad Altare Dei. Designed for any youth of the roman Catholic Faith who s registered in a BSA Troop or Crew. The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei ( to the altar of God) program is to help Catholic Youth of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven sacraments.
  • Pope Pius XII. Designed for Venturing Crew members and scouts BSA 15 years old and older. The program deals with different life choices (single, married, religious, ordained), occupations and ministries in the church as calls from God. It includes youth led discussions on current issues facing the church and society.

BSA Religious Emblems Pricing (as of July 2018):

  • Youth Emblems are $15 each
  • Parent Pins are $6 each (optional)
