GSUSA

Girls Scouts of the USA

Before beginning on a Religious Emblems program for your Girl Scout unit, counselors should participate in a training program that will provide and overview of opportunities and some practical advice on best practices. Please contact the AACCOS training chair listed below to arrange training.

Counselors who serve girls in Girl Scout troops will facilitate Religious Emblems programs developed and produced by the National Catholic Committe for Girl Scouts/Campfire. Prior to beginning these programs units should submit and Intent to Begin notification to the Religious Emblems Coordinators listed below.

Program materials can be purchased directly from the NFCYM online store. Once the programs have been completed, please notify the AACCOS Religious Emblems Coordinators so that they may document and process your awards. Awards for grades k-6 are given to the units to be awarded appropriately. Awards for grades 7-12 are facilitated by a trained counselor and awarded at the annual Archbishop’s scout mass after being approved through a Board of Review. Please note the dates for these events under Important Dates above.
