Steve Ryan, incoming Chair of the AACCOS

Steve began as a Den Leader in 2018 with his son Robert’s Tiger Den, a position he held through Arrow
of Light rank and his son’s crossover. With the pack Steve coordinated camping activities and served as
the Pack’s Assistant Cubmaster. Steve has been a Cub Scout rangemaster for six years and volunteers at Cub Scout camps. To support his Pack and Troop he is a Leave No Trace Trainer, is Wilderness First Aid certified, and is a First Aid/CPR/Wilderness First Aid certified instructor.
Steve promotes Scouting as a Catholic youth ministry and has been active with the Archdiocese of
Atlanta Catholic Committee on Scouting for five years. He organizes Scout Sunday activities for the Pack and Troop and leads an annual reflective hike for Catholic Scouts. Steve and his family are parishioners at St. Thomas More Church in Decatur and he is a member of the Knights of Columbus Father Thomas O’Reilly Council. In 2024 he was the recipient of the Bronze Pelican award for contributions to Scouting in the local Catholic community.
Professionally, Steve has over 29 years of airport planning experience, including master planning,
terminal planning, benefit-cost analysis, and policy and strategy development. A Director with the
airport consultancy Ricondo & Associates, Steve has worked at airports across the US and
Internationally. For the last twelve years Steve has managed a multidisciplinary team assisting
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on a wide range of planning assignments. Steve has
been married to the love of his life, Pam, for 27 years.
